A day dedicated to observing and discovering red deer during the rutting season!
Friday, September 19 and Saturday, September 27
The roar (known as bramito in Italian) is the call that male deer emit in autumn to attract females and assert dominance over other rivals. It’s a sound similar to a roar that echoes through the forests, creating a magical atmosphere!
The day will be entirely dedicated to discovering these magnificent animals, with lots of anecdotes and interesting facts.
Optical instruments (binoculars and spotting scope) will be available for participants to observe the wildlife from a respectful and safe distance.
Meeting point: 2:00 PM at Borgata Adret (San Giorio).
An afternoon hike that will last until sunset, with a night-time return.
Packed dinner.
End of activity expected around 10:30 PM.
Hike cost: €25.
Elevation gain: +600 m – a moderately difficult hike. Participants must be used to walking on mountain trails, as the return will be in the dark with the help of headlamps or flashlights.
Reservation is mandatory.
In case of bad weather, the hike may be modified or cancelled.
