On Wednesday, March 26 at 08:45 pm at Bertotto auditorium "Why are we mobilizing? A fairer future and the fight against inequalities" conference with Filippo Barbera.
The conference will focus on the relationship between public space and the ability to aspire to a fairer future. The political season defined as “neoliberal” has in fact been accompanied by the contraction of public spaces that enable our interactions as citizens, as well as by the disintermediation of political-organizational spaces and also by the reduction of the diversity of living places through the transformation into productive and competitive spaces. Starting from this perspective, the relevance of common spaces in the public sphere and the mechanisms that nourish the capacity for the future of communities will be explored. The thesis is that the richness, variety and organization of spaces that the neoliberal model has eroded or erased are central to nourishing the “ability to aspire” to a fairer future, in which individual needs and collective solutions meet in the name of greater social justice and against inequalities. The opening will be with musical interventions by students of the Goitre Center.
