Exhibition by Billetto in Condove

Sept. 11, 2026 - Sept. 13, 2026

Condove

The exhibition "Alfredo Billetto – Geometries of Color between Dream and Matter," curated by Domiziana Bocina and Simone Billetto, is held in the exhibition space of the ancient Romanesque church of San Rocco on Via Battisti in Condove.

Opening Sunday, September 6th at 5:00 PM.

Trained at the Accademia Albertina in Turin under key figures of twentieth-century Italian art such as Felice Casorati and Cesare Maggi, Billetto assimilated the lessons of compositional rigor and formal synthesis, reworking them in an independent manner throughout the second half of the twentieth century. The exhibition explores the evolution of his artistic language: a research focused on transcending traditional figurative art through the geometric decomposition of planes, an exploration of pictorial matter, and the structured use of color fields.

The selection of works on display features a clear predominance of paintings on canvas, which demonstrate the ongoing dialogue between the Constructivist-Cubist influence and an Informal sensibility. Alongside the paintings, some graphic works are exhibited, testifying to the exceptional technical expertise and the clear, incisive engraved mark that distinguished Billetto as one of the masters of engraving of the second half of the twentieth century.

Visiting hours: until September 27, Wednesdays 10-12; Fridays 16-18; Saturdays and Sundays 10-12 - 16-18.

Free admission.
