The feast of St. John the Baptist returns with even more exciting new features. From June 20th to July 2nd, the patron saint's day of Sauze d'Oulx returns with all its traditional events.
The patron saint's day celebrations will once again be organized by the Fortur Tourist Consortium, together with the Municipality of Sauze d'Oulx and the young people of Sauze d'Oulx, the SanGiovannini, a spontaneous committee of Sauze youth that has been passed down from generation to generation.
This year's patron saint celebrations will kick off with dance music.
Saturday, June 20th, from 6:00 PM, the "Opening Evening" will feature a DJ Set with DJ Ike, starting at 9:00 PM, at the "Vincent Hawkins" Municipal Playground.
On Tuesday, June 23rd, starting at 8:00 PM, the traditional San Giovanni bonfire will take place in Cramayons, complete with a fireworks display and entertainment around the fire with waffles, wine, and other beverages. The evening will continue with serenades through the streets of the town.
On the morning of Wednesday, June 24th, the religious feast of San Giovanni Battista will be celebrated: at 10:30 AM in the parish church of San Giovanni Battista, there will be a procession and Mass, with refreshments and entertainment following the celebration.
In the evening, the traditional dance returns. At 9:00 PM, there will be a dance evening with the "Gli Amici della Notte" orchestra at the "Vincent Hawkins" playground.
Friday, June 26th, also at the "Vincent Hawkins" playground, will feature an "Agri-burger Evening" from 6:00 PM and a "DJ Set with DJ Bubu" from 8:00 PM.
The patron saint celebrations will conclude, again according to tradition, on Thursday 2 July with the Procession to Richardette at 11 am, departing from the Chapel of Santa Elisabetta in Via Dolmaire, with Mass and a Sauze d'Oulx Family Festival featuring games and entertainment.
