From the Earth – Castanea: the chestnut tree, the Bread Tree: a new journey begins at Casa Aschieri!
On Saturday, November 7th, at 5:30 PM, 'From the Earth' will kick off, the second path designed for Casa Aschieri in Bussoleno: a journey through the cultural and gastronomic atlas of the Western Alps, across five stops and five essential products of our valleys, both on the table and beyond.
And what better time, if not autumn, to start with the chestnut and its tree?
The first stop, Castanea, will take us to discover the chestnut tree, the 'Bread Tree': a plant that for centuries has accompanied the life of mountain communities, feeding them and intertwining with their traditions.
Through legends, stories, and history, we will trace the events of its cultivation, from ancient times to the present day, to rediscover the cultural value of a fruit and a tree deeply connected to our land.
