The Argentera valley offers a suggestive landscape with pastures, ridges, mountain pastures and frozen waterfalls in winter frequented by climbing lovers. It presents a rich variety of habitats, including larch-cembreta, basiphilous grasslands and shrublands. The vegetation along the river includes flood-resistant species such as Myricaria germanica and Betula pubescens, while the peat bog areas host Caricion davallianae and Triglochin palustre. The area is rich in orchids, while among the Lepidoptera there are species such as Parnassius apollo and Maculinea arion. The presence of rocks and shrubs makes it an ideal habitat for various species of birds such as the Rock Ptarmigan, the Black Grouse and the Rock Partridge.
