None, None Nevache

Tabor is traditionally a sacred mountain; its name, according to some, is very ancient and pre-Christian, while others believe it to have been named by crusaders or pilgrims returning from the Holy Land. On the top of the mountain stands a chapel, dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows, which has been a pilgrimage destination for several centuries for the people from the valleys of Bardonecchia, the Clarée, and the upper Maurienne. The chapel, known at least since the 17th century but of older origin, was rebuilt in 1860 following a vow made by the inhabitants of Melezet and was enlarged again in 1897.
