We're used to reading this author in his historical essays. Books that discuss people, events, memories, and much more. But history, not stories. Yet Alessandro also possesses another form of creativity that escapes the scientific rigor of historiography and instead explores the paths of fantasy. In this book, he explores lost worlds, imagines figures that are not real but plausible, and seeks out and describes human nature with feeling and emotion. It's a new Alessandro who tells his story, inventing true tales to try to dream in a world that almost no longer dreams.
