The innocent eyes of war in Rubiana

July 19, 2026 - July 19, 2026

Rubiana

THE INNOCENT EYES OF WAR: A memory that speaks to our future.

"Children see things with different eyes, which give an unexpected perspective to the events of war."

There are stories that don't just belong to the past, but become fundamental compasses for our present. Today, those who experienced World War II as children are over eighty years old. In their distant memories, however, something extraordinary still lives: a profound nostalgia, regret, but also a glimmer of incredible naivety.

A special invitation, especially for young people: We often look at history as if it were a cold page in a schoolbook. But history is made up of people. Listening to these testimonies means not only remembering the fear that unites yesterday and today, but discovering the greatest proof of the power of life. From the stories of those who were then just boys and girls, serenity, joy, and even a subtle indifference to adversity emerge. They teach us that, even in the darkest moments, hope and resilience must remain intact.

It's a passing of the baton between generations. A moment to pause, listen, and understand how precious our present is.
