The Enemy at the Gates in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino

July 10, 2026 - July 10, 2026

Sant'Ambrogio di Torino

From Antiquity to the Middle Ages, and well beyond, there is an image that has spanned the centuries, fueling fears, tales, and legends: that of the advancing horde.

An ancient fear that has left its mark on history, art, literature, and the memory of communities. A story that also closely concerns the Susa Valley.

This will be the underlying theme of "The Enemy at the Gates," the first event in the second edition of Traveling with the Eyes of the Heart and Mind, the festival dedicated to the Middle Ages.

Friday, July 10 – 9:00 PM

Church of San Rocco, Sant'Ambrogio di Torino

Five events exploring the Middle Ages through stories, images, and music. This year, thanks to the support of the Municipal Administration of Sant'Ambrogio di Torino and the contribution of the "Note e Sipari" call for proposals from the CRT Foundation, the festival is enriched with two new venues: the terrace of the Abbey Castle and the churchyard of the Church of San Giovanni Vincenzo.

Free admission.
