Presentation of Mariangela Pinnavaia's book "Plaza de Mayo" on Monday, April 6th at 5:30 PM at the Palazzo delle Feste.
After the coup d'état of March 24, 1976, in Argentina, the Military Junta eliminates civil rights and persecutes opponents. On a dramatic night, they raid the home of Raul, a long-time targeted trade unionist, and his wife Mariana, a teacher fascinated by the theories of the Latin American Combatant Church. Violeta is kidnapped and tortured for two years in various secret prisons, experiencing the brutality of the dictatorship, while a doubtful soldier offers a glimpse of a small hope for humanity.
Free admission.
