Signs of the Albertina on display in Rubiana

Aug. 9, 2025 - Aug. 10, 2025

Rubiana

There is an ancient, silent gesture that carves material to create an image. A gesture born from the encounter between thought and surface, between patience and intuition. It is the gesture of the engraver...

The exhibition "Segni dell'Albertina" at the Pinacoteca F. Tabusso in Rubiana aims to offer a glimpse into the engraving tradition that, over the last century, has permeated the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti in Turin. This exhibition brings together works created using various engraving techniques, illustrating the evolution of the graphic language and its expressive vitality.

The protagonists of the exhibition are artists who have intertwined their journey with the Albertina, as students or teachers, helping to consolidate its prestige and transmit knowledge, styles, and experimentation.

Their engravings reflect the plurality of artistic visions, but also the common thread of a school that has successfully maintained a vital dialogue between tradition and innovation.

Not only will we admire the artists' technical excellence, but the expressive power of the engraved mark will be highlighted as a tool for reflection, instinct, and poetry.

The mark becomes a trace of thought, a thoughtful gesture, the imprint of a personal and collective time.

SIGNS OF THE ALBERTINA: a tribute to an often silent yet profoundly incisive artistic heritage, which continues to speak to the present with strength and refinement.
