In the early 1990s, three very different women—Bianca, a young chemist disillusioned by love, Rachele, a visionary grandmother, and Rosita, a child scarred by abandonment—experience the pain of loss against the backdrop of the Sarajevo war. Through mutual support, imagination, fairy tales, and Shostakovich's music, they try to transform suffering into an opportunity for healing and rebirth.
