Women looking for trouble in Caselette

April 22, 2026 - April 26, 2026

Caselette

On April 25th, the exhibition "Women in Search of Trouble" will be held in Sala Italia 150 (Strada Contessa 86), curated by Franca Mariano of the Colle del Lys Resistance Committee, with the invaluable support of the Gobetti Study Center in Turin.

"Women in Search of Trouble" is more than just an exhibition: it is a journey into the often-forgotten history of women in the Italian Resistance.

Through documents, testimonies, and archival materials, the exhibition finally restores visibility and centrality to female figures who played a vital, independent, and profoundly impactful role in the struggle for Liberation.

From the partisans of the Lanzo, Susa, Sangone, and Chisone valleys to the emblematic story of Anna Maria Polo "Mara," the exhibition recounts a vast and still-to-be-rediscovered participation.

A special focus is on Ada Prospero Gobetti: partisan, intellectual, educator, and leading figure of Italian anti-fascism. His life represents a profound connection between the Resistance, culture, education, and democracy.

An opportunity to learn, reflect, and pay homage to those who have contributed so decisively to our freedom.

Presentation and exhibition opening on Wednesday, April 22nd at 9:00 PM.
